Join us on Sunday for our Fall Equinox Soundbath ♡

We run our monthly Soundbaths Soul Centre | SE Calgary Yoga the third Sunday of each month, we especially love this because 4 times a year it falls on the Equinox/Solstice - a time for reflection, gratitude, new beginnings, closing chapters, setting intentions, and reconnecting.

The Fall 🍁 Equinox represents balanced sunlight, almost perfect sunrises, and the harvest moon. It is the perfect time for adjusting to the natural rhythms.

There is so much more happening on your mat than what can be seen from the outside. The shapes are only a small part of the practice. Pay attention to the thoughts, patterns, reactions, resistance, and strength that show up along the way. 🤍

September is rolling in hot! The studio buzz is already picking up, classes are getting busier, and we love seeing so many of you back on your mats as we head into fall. ☺️

Here are a few friendly reminders as the studio fills up:

• Book ahead! Classes are getting busier, so reserving your spot in advance is always a good idea.

• Arrive 10 minutes early. Give yourself time for a seamless check-in, tuck your belongings away (especially phones), settle onto your mat, and soak up a few quiet moments in the hot room.

• Can’t make it? Please cancel your booking. It helps us plan for class and gives someone on the waitlist a chance to get in. A reminder that no-shows are subject to a $15 fee.

• Make a little room for each other. Please be mindful of the stickers on the floor. Align the top centre of your mat with one to allow room for everyone. (Psst - there’s no sticker right in front of the entry doors 😉 another spot is waiting for you!)

Student Spotlight!! ⭐️

This is Sharmela (and her nephew Brian) 😊😊

Last week Sharmela completed 1000 classes at Soul!!!! What an outstanding accomplishment!! Sharmela continues to show up despite sometimes being tired, dealing with sore feet, and anything else life throws at her. Attending 1000 classes is no easy feat, and Sharmela always does it with a smile on her face and a friendly chat with front desk.

Sharmelas advice is “just keep going!”

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be offering a series of donation-based classes to celebrate our incredible Yoga Teacher Mentorship graduates! 😃🎓

Whether you’ve been wanting to try yoga for the first time, check out one of our spaces, or simply support these amazing new teachers as they begin their teaching journey, we’d love to welcome you to class.

These graduates have shown up week after week, done the work, embraced the challenges, and grown into confident, compassionate teachers. Now it’s their turn to share their passion with our community.
