Did you know that copaiba oil (one of the most widely used natural remedies in the world) works largely because of Beta-Caryophyllene?

Copaiba comes from the resin of Copaifera trees native to the Amazon. Indigenous communities have used it for centuries to manage pain and inflammation. But for a long time, scientists were not sure exactly why it worked.

Now we know.

BCP (Beta-Caryophyllene) is the primary active compound in copaiba oil! And a published study found that BCP reduced inflammation and oxidative stress in arthritic subjects. The researchers concluded that BCP is likely responsible for copaiba oil's anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
