(279)

Through a variety of yoga styles designed for all levels, we create and hold a space that invites people to connect with one another and an opportunity to be their authentic self. Our instructors encourage personal exploration, non-attachment to outcome and present moment awareness. We offer the Great Yoga Wall, Ashtanga Yoga, Flow Yoga, Yin/Yang Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yoga Barre, Rollax, Warm Hips and H

amstrings, Warm Yin/Restorative, Yin Restorative with Nidra. All of which use a combination of movement and posture synchronized with the breath. Strength, flexibility, stamina and complete relaxation are developed along with balance and concentration. We believe in fostering the practice not only within the physical body but the heart, soul and mind as well. There are many free 2 hours spots available on side streets and we have $2 parking inside the indoor car lot located on 18th avenue on the side of the studio.

Not every belief you carry belongs to you.

Your body remembers. Your body can also release.

Echoes in the Temple | June 19–21

Join Trevor Wyllthawk for a three day somatic breathwork and yoga immersion exploring the relationship between body, breath, energy, and the stories we carry.

Core limiting beliefs are not just thoughts. They are deep imprints held in our very tissues, shaping our posture, breath patterns, emotional landscape, and the way we move through life.

Through yoga, somatic breathwork, movement, sound, contemplation, and community, you’ll explore what becomes possible when those patterns are brought into awareness and given space to shift.

Beyond the story lies possibility.

Practice is the effort to remain established in that state.

In the previous Sutra, Patanjali tells us that the fluctuations of the mind are stilled through practice and non-attachment. Here, he defines practice itself.

Practice is not a single effort. It is the willingness to continue. To return again and again to the steadiness we seek.

Consistency matters. Not because perfection is required, but because practice asks us to keep showing up.

Let the Sutra meet you where you are and ask yourself: what supports steadiness and consistency in my practice?

Have you ever noticed how hard it is to quiet the mind, even when you want to?

Thoughts keep moving. One leads to another. Even when you try to settle, something pulls your attention away.

The fluctuations of the mind are stilled through practice and non-attachment.

Practice brings consistency.
Non-attachment creates space.

Together, they begin to soften the pull of the mind.

Practice builds steadiness. Returning again and again. Noticing when the mind wanders and gently bringing it back.

Non-attachment softens the grip. Letting thoughts come and go without needing to hold onto them or push them away.

Together, they create space. Not by stopping the mind, but by changing the relationship to it.

Congrats YIN YTT grads ✨

Best poem to capture it all by by Sandra ❤️

To yoga to yoga to yoga we go
For maybe some yin or maybe some flow

Check in at the studio is always a breeze
And lets you glide into your classes with ease

The vibe at Santosha is filled with much love
Where everyone’s welcome
And fits like a glove

So find your place on your mat
And set your intention
Sometimes hard to choose
And too many to mention

Try to leave your monkey mind at the door,
sit still on your mat and your bum on the floor

Yin is in and our path for a while
Finding our edge with goldilocks as our guide

Allowing stillness in discomfort and committing to hold
You might even feel some fascia I’m told

Thank you Lisa and Candace for sharing your
wisdom and time;
But I suck as a poet and have to finish this rhyme

So sit up tall and hands in prayer to your chest
With gratitude to have been here and not just as a guest

Thank you to all for your care and grace
And sharing your energy in this beautiful space

Now the time has come to get on your feet
But maybe we’re lucky and there’ll be a retreat

For now, Just One more ohm and it’s time to go home.

Thank you, grads, for leading with your light and helping shape what Santosha is.

Equal light. Equal dark. Balance.

And still, for most of us, we pull away from the dark.

Maybe it’s because we’ve learned to see light as clarity and ease.

The richness is in both. Centre doesn’t come from choosing one over the other.

Centre shows up when both have space to be here.

May today be a reminder to honour both 🌓☀️

As Norouz, the Persian New Year approaches, a time of renewal, light, and new beginnings, we are reminded that even after the longest winter, the sun rises again.

Sara and Soroush are such a heartfelt part of this community, and we love them dearly. We know they are holding so much while continuing to show up here with all of us, while having family in Iran they cannot reach beyond their hearts. Right now Iran is under a near-total internet blackout, making it very difficult for many families to reach one another.

We also know there are others in this community walking a similar path. Though we cannot walk it for you, please know that we see you and we care.

Let’s show up for our practice.
Let’s show up for meditation.
Let’s stand together, hold hands, and chant for the light to come through.

We are here. Together.
And we will keep doing what we can from where we are
until the sun rises again.

Let the practice meet you ✨
Allow each pose to meet your body in this moment. Move in conversation with your breath, your energy, and what is present today.

Strength grows through listening.
Resilience emerges through steady presence.
Discernment develops as you learn to feel clearly and respond with a deeper clarity.

Each time you meet yourself honestly, capacity expands. Trust deepens. The body and mind organize in ways that support you from within.

Practice becomes a place of connection, understanding, and growth.

Begin exactly here ❤️
