Send a letter to your MP and the minister of finance so that massage therapy is exempt from HST. All the work is done for you! Just add your postal code, name, email and press send! Voila! Easy peasy!

Physiotherapy, chiropractic, and psychotherapy are all exempt from GST/HST. Massage therapy — the same regulated health care, often in the same clinic — is still taxed.

Removing HST from massage therapy is long overdue. Glad to have another association fighting the good fight.

Today is the launch of CMTA's campaign to remove the GST/HST on massage therapy in the 2026 federal budget - removing the tax lowers the cost of care for patients.

This is about affordability.
