September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.
On this day, we honour residential school survivors, their families, and communities. At HPPH we commit to learning the truth, acknowledging the ongoing impacts of colonialism, and taking meaningful action towards reconciliation.

Rodney Phillips, HPHA’s Manager of Outpatient Mental Health, recently participated in a podcast on Rural Housing and Homelessness in Huron County.

In particular, he discussed the myths about homelessness, how the HPHA tracks the accessibility of services, and how the community can promote kindness and respect to promote mental health and well-being in rural communities.

The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Mental Health hosted the event, which brought together leaders from municipal, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations.
