She never planned on becoming this strong..
Life simply gave her no other choice.
She didn’t choose the hard roads, the heartbreak, the losses or the people who taught her painful lessons.
Her story chose her.
And for a long time, it felt like every chapter was written to test how much one heart could take.
She fell.
She failed.
She trusted the wrong people.
Loved people who didn’t know how to love her back.
Lost pieces of herself trying to hold onto things that were already gone.
But darling..her story was never really about everything that broke her.
It was about everything that couldn’t.
Because every time life knocked her down, she found another reason to get back up.
Every mistake made her wiser.
Every heartbreak made her more careful.
Every loss taught her what deserved to stay.
People may call her distant.
Cold.
Hard to know.
They don’t understand that her walls weren’t built to keep everyone out..
they were built because too many people had proven they didn’t deserve to get in.
She has been hurt by lovers.
Disappointed by friends.
Let down by people she once called family.
So no, she doesn’t hand everyone access to her heart anymore.
That isn’t bitterness.
That’s wisdom.
Anyone who gets close to her has earned their place.
And anyone who loses it usually understands exactly why.
She doesn’t need everyone to understand her.
She stopped trying to explain herself a long time ago.
She is passionate.
Loyal.
Complicated.
Strong.
And fiercely protective of the people she loves.
She would rather have a handful of real people beside her than a room full of people pretending to care.
So don’t mistake her strength for a lack of softness.
Beneath that tough exterior is a heart that still loves deeply and a soul that still believes there is beauty ahead.
She simply knows better now.
She keeps her standards high.
Her head higher.
And her heart protected until someone proves they deserve it.
She has walked through fires that should have destroyed her..
and somehow came out carrying more strength than anger and more love than bitterness.
That’s what makes her different.
She cannot be easily defined.
She will never be controlled.
And she has absolutely no interest in becoming easier to understand just to make someone else comfortable.
She survived.
She evolved.
She became.
And once you truly know a woman like her, you never forget her.
She is, and always will be..

Where the meadows turn gently towards home

and pathways soften along hedgerows,

where my memories are held brightly

of summer childhood games

seeking fairies

counting daisies

and lying in the long golden corn

as foxes wandered by

and hares ran in the midday sunshine.

Where home is deeply felt

and remembered

and longed for.

I pray to the spirits of childhood

the Gods of safe open fields

And Goddesses of welcoming hedgerows

whispering with wrens

rustling with hedgehogs

and mice;

I pray for them to sustain

and ever be there

ever green

and lit with the sun

and to hold my heart safe

in the knowledge they are eternal

and will always hold the memories

of a thousand

childhood days.

We have to release our internal enemies, and find peace in the experiences that shaped us, as well as love all that we’ve learned and lost.
Pay attention on how you judge (we all do it) but in our judgement, we reveal a lot about what is hidden in our own insecurities.
Learn your signs… sometimes we are judging what bothers us the most about ourselves.
Reflect on this -
Fears, triggers, old wounds, etc…show up in a snarky judgement and once you get this, you may be a bit more conscious about your stuff and stop talking about other people’s stuff.
It’s a higher road.
A cleaner road.
A road less traveled these days.
Maybe we can start a movement?
