“It’s not every day that a piece of history arrives in the mail.

This prescription box was dispensed by our founder, D. John Wallace, Phm.B., back when the pharmacy operated from its original home on the Regal Block — “Phone 81” and all!

From there, the pharmacy moved to the corner of 6th and 3rd, where it remained for decades before settling into its current location in 2012.

A special thank-you to Jan Young Baker, who was kind enough to send along this find and share some of her family history with me. Treasures like this are a wonderful reminder of how long we’ve been part of this community.”
