Amazing talk, amazing lady!
Last night, I had the honour of being the Spotlight Speaker at the Comox Valley Women’s Business Network, sharing my story and my business with a room of 57 incredible women.
I’ve facilitated many workshops over the years, but somehow this felt different. It was only five minutes, yet I felt the pressure to make every second count. Before walking up, I made a conscious decision to change my inner dialogue from “I’m scared” to “I’m excited.” And instead of striving for perfection, I reminded myself that if even one person walked away with a message that made a difference in their life, it would all be worth it.
But what I’ll remember most isn’t standing on stage—it’s the women around me.
The encouragement started long before the event. There were thoughtful texts wishing me success, beautiful voice messages cheering me on, offers to help with my video setup, and so many conversations reminding me that people genuinely wanted me to succeed. Throughout the evening, I felt surrounded by women who celebrate one another instead of competing with one another.
And to top it off, I believe four of the five guest tickets sold for the dinner were purchased by people who came simply to support me. That humbles me more than I can put into words.
This is what community looks like.
Women encouraging women to be brave.
Women celebrating each other’s wins.
Women creating space for one another to grow.
I’m so grateful for everyone who believed in me, encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, and was excited to hear about the work I do. Your support made it easier to stand up there and share my heart.
If there’s something you’ve been holding back from because it feels uncomfortable or scary, this is your reminder: courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s choosing to show up anyway.
And today, I’m incredibly proud that I did. 💛
