DLSAR would like to sincerely thank all the agencies and teams that contributed to this search effort. Our deepest gratitude goes to the Town of Deer Lake for their unwavering support, which has meant a great deal to us throughout this difficult time. We also appreciate the help from BOISAR, Green Bay, and Exploits, who traveled to assist in covering the area more quickly and thoroughly. The Salvation Army provided much-needed lunches and hot meals, offering comfort to our searchers after long hours in challenging conditions.
We are especially grateful to the RCMP for their vital support, including local helicopter coverage, fixed-wing FLIR operations from Nova Scotia, drone assistance from CASARA in St. John’s, and the Police Dog Services out of Grand Falls.
While our search has now concluded and we were unable to locate the gentleman, our thoughts remain with his loved ones and the community during this difficult time. We deeply appreciate everyone’s dedication, compassion, and support throughout this effort. Your kindness and commitment have meant a great deal to all of us.
