Sometimes this independent client likes her own space and prefers to do things her way! 😊 During a recent visit, she jumped right into the body sock with Coach Elizabeth and had so much fun exploring it. 🌟

The best part? After trying it together, she decided to give it a go all on her own! 🙌💪 She loved the cozy, stretchy sensory experience and was all smiles while she played. 💙✨

💡 SLP Tip: Aim for a Total Communication Approach! 💬

🗣️ Try Augmentative and Alternative Communication or AAC! Your child doesn’t need to be non-speaking to use AAC. Options are wide-ranging, from low-tech language boards to high-tech voice-output systems like TouchChat or Proloquo2Go. An SLP can help you find the right fit!
🤝 Model different ways to communicate! The more kids see it done the more they see "Oh, I can try that too!". Gestures, signing, picture exchange, letter boards, aided language displays, word approximations, typing, and more.
🎯 Follow their interests and build communication into activities they love.
🎨 Add fun sensory supports like bubbles, magnet toys, sequin pillows, water beads, kinetic sand etc.
💛 Assume competence always. Don’t underestimate your child, trust their potential and ability to learn.

Our fourth Pr***en session was a huge success, with many first-time players joining in. The energy was next level! Enthusiastic, creative, and SO ready to play. ⚡️

We practiced great table teamwork 💬, fair dice rolls 🎲, and making space for everyone’s voice, with regulation breaks as-needed during play. 🧠💛

This wild adventure crew included a brick golem, a living car, a hydra, Hiccup (from How To Train Your Dragon), a sneaky rogue, and a giraffe paladin in shining armour. 🐉🚗🦒

Together they solved the mystery of disappearing wood 🌲, rescued gnomes from gremlins 👹, teamed up with the “Lumbos” 🪓, and ultimately defeated the termite king through epic teamwork .🏆✨

💚 Nine years ago, we proudly celebrated the renovation and grand opening of Qi Creative Headquarters. 💜

It was a remarkable day for our team and our practice, filled with the love and support of friends, family, clients, and the community. ✨🌈

The festivities began with guided tours of our new space and culminated in an evening of gratitude, celebration, and dancing. 💃🕺🌟

We are immensely grateful to do what we love, to love what we do, and to have this incredible space for collaboration, creativity, coaching, and celebration.
