Current Campaign - The New Groves Hospital Project: Our community deserves the best healthcare. A positive patient experience is at the forefront of our thinking. Our new facility will be a model in the delivery of patient-centered rural healthcare. It will have the ability to deliver a model of care that aligns with best practice; it will be capable of accommodating modern technology, providing a framework to address future flexibility and changes in technology; it will have welcoming public spaces and comforting views; meet accessibility standards; our new Inpatient Unit will be 80% private rooms; it will provide facilities that meet infection prevention and control standards and reflect best practices and evidence-based design; the overall footprint of our new hospital will almost double in size to meet the demands of our growing community. Meet our Groves Pharmacy Technicians!

Our Pharmacy Techs play an important role in keeping medications moving safely & efficiently throughout the hospital. Their work can include tracking medication usage, managing inventory, preparing & distributing medications, maintaining records, supporting medication safety, and so much more.

Every task — big or small — helps make sure our teams have what they need and our patients receive the right medications when they need them.

Behind every breath is an expert Respiratory Therapist.

Respiratory Therapists play an essential role in caring for patients across our hospitals — providing oxygen & respiratory treatments, managing ventilators, responding to emergencies, & helping assess & understand lung function.

Their expertise is especially important in some of a patient’s most critical moments, while also providing ongoing respiratory care.

This Respiratory Therapists’ Week, we’re celebrating our incredible RTs and the knowledge, skill, & compassion they bring to our teams and our patients every day.

Groves Foundation recently had a Split the Pot Lottery Jackpot winner of $4,000!! Dean Scarrow, local resident, selected Groves as recipient of his ticket proceeds.

Dean shared; “Thanks so much for the winnings! It’s been a real surprise since the call you made to me informing me of the win. Our Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD) Team plays a vital role in patient care, ensuring medical instruments are carefully cleaned, inspected, assembled, packaged, and sterilized for safe use.

Their knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to quality help ensure instruments are ready when and where they’re needed.

Groves is so thankful for Ponsonby Recreation Club’s ongoing support. The Club’s first donation was made 20 years ago now! In their 2 decades of generous giving, they have donated almost $22,000 for the needs of our hospital. Thank you for continuing to choose Groves as the beneficiary of funds raised by your Annual Bottle Drive, Ponsonby Rec Club! ⚾️🏥👏🏼
