We are delighted to recognize Michelle Pryor, Registered Nurse (Obstetrics) at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, on being nominated as a Guardian Angel through the Central Northeast Health Foundation.

Michelle was recently nominated by Kayla, Steve, and Liam Smart, who made a donation in her honour through our Guardian Angel Program in recognition of the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion she provided during their time at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre.

The family shared this heartfelt message:

During our long stay in the hospital before our baby was born, Michelle was always there with the most kind and encouraging words. 🏁 Fly Your Car in Gander XV Raises $4,000 for Local Healthcare! 🏁

On behalf of the Central Northeast Health Foundation, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Fly Your Car in Gander XV a tremendous success!

Held on June 13, 2026, this year's event brought us back to where it all began at GFT: Gander Flight Training – Taxiway Charlie for another incredible day of motorsports, community spirit, and fundraising in support of healthcare throughout Central Newfoundland.

Thanks to the generosity of our participants, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters, we are thrilled to share that this year's event raised $4,000 for local healthcare initiatives. Since the event began in 2011, Fly Your Car in Gander has now raised more than $40,000 in support of patients served by the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre.
