Team Aurora is out at Treaty One Anishinaabe Days! 💙💚

Eddie and Lisa are spending the weekend at the Treaty One Anishinaabe Days Traditional Powwow at Naawi-Oodena, connecting with community, sharing information about Aurora Recovery Centre, and meeting so many wonderful people.

Tonight, we were honoured to welcome Gin, an Aurora alumna from 2019, back to the centre as our guest speaker.

Gin shared her recovery journey, celebrating her sobriety while offering hope, inspiration, and encouragement to those currently walking their own path. She also went into depth about how the tools she gained at Aurora helped her get to where she is today—a strong and proud person in recovery.

Thank you, Gin, for reminding us that recovery is possible and that every step forward matters. Congratulations from all of us on your 7 year Sobriety Milestone!

Aurora Recovery Centre had a fantastic time participating in the Winnipeg Beach Boardwalk Days Parade! 🎉

Our team enjoyed connecting with the community, handing out candy, and celebrating alongside so many families and local organizations. Getting out into the community is an important part of reducing stigma, building connections, and reminding people that recovery is possible.
