A huge congratulations to our very own Matt Minglewood on being named a recipient of the 2026 Order of Nova Scotia, our province’s highest honour!

Matt has long been a source of pride for Glace Bay and Cape Breton. His incredible musical talent, dedication to his craft, and contributions to Nova Scotia’s music and culture have left a lasting legacy.

It is wonderful to see one of our own recognized with such a prestigious honour. Glace Bay is certainly proud of you, Matt!

I would also like to extend my sincere congratulations to all of this year’s recipients. Your remarkable achievements, leadership, and dedication to our province are truly deserving of this recognition.
