Cooper Funeral Home

Cooper Funeral Home Cooper Funeral Home is family-owned and operated, serving Jarvis area families for nearly 50 years.

In 1974, Martyn and Brenda Cooper moved to 1 Dennis Street in Jarvis. The plan was to open a funeral home on the upper level while turning the basement apartments into living quarters. In June of that same year, Cooper Funeral Home opened to serve the community. Over 30 years later, Martyn and Brenda’s eldest son Ian became a partner in the family business. He is committed to maintaining the fine

reputation earned by his father. As was the case in 1974 and still is today, our motto is: "Serving You As We Would Be Served."

ROBERTSON, Marjorie "Marjie" Doris (Robinson)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marjorie "Marjie Robertson (née Robinson) on August 1, 2026 in her 96th year. Marjie was born in England on May 31, 1931 to her loving parents, Charles and Jessie Robinson. She eventually moved across the pond in 1957 and landed in Norfolk County with the love of her life of 58 years, Ken. Marjie will be greatly missed by her niece, Catherine; her mother, Mary; and her dear friends, Suzanne, Patsy and Bob, Katie, Dianne and Bob, and many other friends she's made over the years here in Canada. She cherished her cats, Hannah and Cece.

Marjie worked as a clerk in the psychiatric ward at Henderson Hospital. She was a founding member of South Coast Probus Club and acted as the membership coordinator for many years. She spent her free time playing hand and foot, Scrabble, crosswords, and reading a good book. Marjie was known for her risque jokes, her love for a very dry martini, and her weekly trips to the Port Dover Dairy Bar every Wednesday and Sunday.

We would like to thank the caring nurses, doctors, and staff for their amazing care over at Cedarwood Village. They made everyone feel at home from the moment we walked in the doors.

Donations in Marjie's memory to Purrfect Companions or the Norfolk-Haldimand Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
