LungNSPEI provides programs and services to prevent & manage lung disease in NS and PEI. PEI Office: New location coming soon.

LungNSPEI was established in the early 1900's to control the spread of tuberculosis and to prevent this once deadly disease, which was the number one killer of Canadians. With over 100 years of service to the community, LungNSPEI continues to directly help people who live with lung disease. We offer a variety of lung health programs and services including Chronic and Infectious Disease, Tobacco Control and Environment.

It’s Radon Action Month, and fall is the perfect time to test your home.

Radon is a radioactive gas that comes up from the ground and can build up indoors. You can’t see it, smell it, or taste it. The only way to know your levels is to test. It’s also the leading cause of lung cancer in people who’ve never smoked.
