Hey everyone! 👋🏻

Just wanted to check back in to give an update on how things are currently working around here! Lots has changed since Nomad was born, but not much has changed with the process.

Simply reach out for an in-home assessment, wait for your orthotics to be made and fit to your footwear. Then follow-up to make sure they're working well and that's it!

The world of orthotics can be intimidating and a bit overwhelming. One of my main goals with Nomad is to keep things as simple and convenient as possible for you. So please don't hesitate if you have any questions!

From top to bottom, custom footwear is designed and built completely from raw materials to suit the client’s needs. For example, this work-in-progress is going to end up with almost a full inch difference in height to accommodate a leg length discrepancy. The clever use of footwear design and manufacturing techniques to help improve people’s quality of life is a big part of what drew me in to the world of custom footwear.

This is the result of a 3D scan, from which an orthotic will be designed. I also like to scan the insole or even the interior of the actual shoe that the orthotics will be going in to. These pieces of information, along with my work order outlining the necessary design features are given to the skilled and experienced team at the lab to model and fabricate. There's a lot going on behind the scenes in order to give you a truly custom fit.
