🔥🍂 Samhain 🍂🔥
As the wheel of the year turns, we arrive at Samhain — the ancient Celtic festival marking the final harvest and the beginning of the dark half of the year. Celebrated from October 31st into November 1st, this is one of the most sacred nights of the pagan calendar.
🌙 The spiritual significance:
Samhain (pronounced "SOW-in") means "summer's end." It marks the thinning of the veil between the physical world and the spirit realm — a time when our ancestors and loved ones who have passed are believed to walk closer to us than at any other point in the year.
🕯️ A time of remembrance — Many light candles or set a place at the table to honor ancestors and those who have crossed over. It's a night for connection, memory, and gratitude for those who came before us.
🍁 A time of release — As nature sheds its leaves and prepares for winter's rest, Samhain invites us to do the same spiritually — releasing what has died within us this year, whether old patterns, relationships, or beliefs that no longer serve our growth.
🔮 A time of reflection — With the veil thin, this is considered a powerful night for divination, meditation, and inner listening. Many use this time to seek guidance for the coming year ahead.
🌑 A time of rest — Just as the earth enters dormancy, Samhain reminds us that rest and stillness are sacred, not lazy. Winter is a season for turning inward.
✨ This Samhain, honor what has passed, invite Reiki to release what is ready to go, and welcome the quiet wisdom of the dark half of the year. ✨
