Throwing it back to one of the very first retreats Tara and I hosted together. 💜

It was a beautiful day retreat filled with learning, connection, laughter, delicious food, Oracle card readings, chakra exploration, and conversations that reminded us just how powerful it can be when women come together with open hearts and curious minds.

We spent time learning practical tools to support our energy, deepen our self-awareness, and raise our vibration in everyday life. We shared stories, insights, meals, and moments that stayed with us long after the weekend ended.

Looking back at these photos reminds me why I love creating these experiences so much.

And it's also what inspired us to create Moonlight & Magic.

While this retreat will have its own unique feel and flavour, it carries the same intention at its heart: creating a welcoming space where women can connect, learn, laugh, recharge, and leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.

For those who don’t know me, I’m Alexis, the heart behind Of Salt & Spirit.

I’m a wife, a mom of three, I have an office job by day, and a Reiki Master who knows what it feels like to spend so much time taking care of everyone else that you forget to take care of yourself.

Life gets busy.

Between work, kids, activities, responsibilities, and trying to keep all the balls in the air, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself somewhere along the way.

That’s exactly why I created Moonlight & Magic.

Not because I have it all figured out.

Not because I think we need to “fix” ourselves.

But because I know how powerful it is to step away from the noise for a weekend and simply breathe.

To laugh until your cheeks hurt.

To sit by the lake with a cup of coffee.

To connect with other women who understand.

To be cared for instead of being the one doing all the caring.

This retreat isn’t about being more spiritual, more productive, or becoming someone new.

It’s about remembering who you already are.

Moonlight & Magic wasn’t created because I wanted to host a retreat. It was created because I know what it feels like to need a pause.

Not every “high vibe” person is emotionally healthy. And not every healer is healed.

I’ve met gifted psychics who were deeply insecure. Energy workers who were highly competitive. Spiritual teachers who looked down on people who were simply in a different season of their journey.

The truth is, spiritual gifts and emotional maturity are not the same thing.

Someone can be intuitive and still be judgmental.
Someone can channel messages and still struggle with kindness. Someone can hold space for others and still have wounds they haven’t faced within themselves.

Real healing isn’t about pretending you’ve transcended your humanity.

It’s about humility. Self-awareness. Accountability and a lot of COMPASSION.

The people I trust most aren’t the ones claiming to be the most enlightened. They’re the ones who make others feel safe, seen, respected, and empowered.

Because true healing shouldn’t make you feel smaller. It should remind you of your own power.
