The finished image is never the purpose. The drawing is a doorway into contemplation, self-inquiry, and understanding. It is one of the practices that helps me listen more deeply, know myself more fully, and remember the wholeness that has always been there.

Read this short essay on why and how…

How reading, drawing, meditation, and journaling became doorways back to myself

A single story can change a life.

Imagine what happens when 262 women share theirs.

There is something extraordinary that happens when women gather. Stories carried quietly for years find their voice. Lessons learned through triumph and heartbreak become gifts for others. Wisdom gathered through lived experience is shared freely, creating connections that reach far beyond a single conversation, a single room, or even a single generation.

Mission Accepted: 262 Women is a living archive of courage, wisdom, and experience.

Within these pages are entrepreneurs, creatives, visionaries, mothers, leaders, dreamers, and women who chose to share a piece of their journey. Each story is unique, yet a common thread runs through them all: resilience, growth, perseverance, and the willingness to continue moving forward when life presented challenges.

Some stories will make you smile.

Some will remind you of your own journey.

Some may touch a place deep within your heart because they echo something you have lived, felt, or longed to understand.

Together, these 262 voices create a remarkable gift. They remind us that although our paths may look different, we are connected through our hopes, our struggles, our dreams, and our capacity to rise, heal, and grow.

And now, these stories have found a permanent home.

Mission Accepted: 262 Women has been accepted into Library and Archives Canada, becoming part of our nation’s historical record. In both digital and print form, these stories will be preserved for future generations. Long after we are gone, students, teachers, professors, researchers, historians, daughters, granddaughters, and readers we will never meet may open these pages and discover a piece of wisdom they needed at exactly the right moment.

What a beautiful thought.

That a lesson learned today may inspire someone decades from now.

That a story shared from the heart may become a light for someone walking their own path.

This book stands as a testament to the power of women sharing their experiences, lifting one another up, and leaving behind something meaningful for those who follow.

Our stories matter.

Our voices matter.

Our experiences matter.

And together, 262 women have created a legacy that will live on for generations.

Join us as we celebrate this remarkable achievement at our book signing event on June 11th at Indigo Books in Kamloops.

Come meet some of the women behind these pages, hear their stories, and celebrate the wisdom, courage, and connection that made this book possible.

Because every story has the power to touch a life.

And together, 262 stories become a legacy.

Yesterday I had coffee with a friend who told me she had never been camping.
Her idea of camping was sleeping on the ground in a tent.
What she didn’t realize is that camping isn’t really about where you sleep.
It’s coffee by a lake.
Fresh bread rising while the mountains wake up.
Reading a book for hours beneath a tree.
Wearing pajamas half the day because nobody cares.
Listening to birds, waves, and wind instead of traffic.
Watching the sunset from your front yard, even though your front yard changes every few days.
Camping isn’t about escaping life.
It’s about slowing down enough to enjoy it.
