Trick or Treat on Timberwalk Halloween Street!

Halloween came early at Timberwalk! Our residents enjoyed a special evening of trick-or-treating, going door to door and collecting sweet treats along the way.

Our management team got into the Halloween spirit too, coming together to decorate their own doors and make the experience extra special for everyone!

It was such a wonderful evening filled with laughter, creativity, and the joy of celebrating together. It’s moments like these that bring our community closer and remind us how special it is to share in the fun, one sweet memory at a time. Here’s to making memory care moments!

Our cinnamon roll event was a sweet success! Our management team came together in the kitchen to prepare, bake, and share something special with our community. It was a wonderful example of teamwork, connection, and the joy of bringing people together!

A little fog, a lot of fall magic!

We took a scenic trip to Gatineau Park to soak up the beautiful fall colours, and the misty views made it feel like something out of a storybook. A little fog never stopped us from enjoying nature’s autumn masterpiece!

Good food, great company & a view worth stopping for!

Today we traded our usual lunch spot for a little countryside getaway at 1818 Farm & C***r! From the delicious food to the beautiful scenery, it was the perfect recipe for a wonderful afternoon.

Sometimes the best memories come with a side of sunshine and a beautiful view!

Oktoberfest: Timberwalk Style!

We turned Oktoberfest into the ultimate Timberwalk Pub Crawl! Residents grabbed their stamp cards and set off to visit all four of our one-of-a-kind pubs: Tipsy Teacup, The Jolly Mug, Pour Decisions, and Pints & Giggles!

But there was a catch… a drink had to be earned at each stop! From fun little challenges to activities at every pub, our residents had to complete their task before collecting their stamp.

Four pubs. Four stamps. Lots of laughs, cheers, and one very fun afternoon! Prost!

A Beautiful Fall Open House!

What a wonderful day at Timberwalk! Our Fall Open House was filled with warm smiles, lovely company, and beautiful music from beginning to end.

We started our morning with the enchanting sounds of a violinist, and spent the afternoon relaxing to the beautiful melodies of a harpist. It was the perfect way to welcome the season and share a special day with our residents, families, friends, and community.

Truth & Reconciliation | Part 2

Some traditions are more than recipes—they are stories, memories, and pieces of family history passed down from generation to generation. 🍞✨

As part of our Truth and Reconciliation journey, our General Manager Nancy, who is Métis, welcomed her sister and niece to Timberwalk to share a special family tradition with our residents: making traditional bannock using their grandmother’s recipe, a recipe that has been passed down through generations of their family.

Our residents had the opportunity to take part in making the bannock, enjoy time together, and learn more about a tradition that holds such special meaning for Nancy and her family. 🧡

We are so grateful to Nancy, her sister, and her niece for opening their family kitchen to us and sharing a piece of their heritage and family history.

Honouring traditions, sharing stories, and connecting generations. 🧡

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – Part 1

Today, our residents took time to learn, reflect, and create as we recognized National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We began by making and colouring dreamcatchers, creating a meaningful opportunity for creativity and conversation.

Traditionally, they are associated with protecting sleepers, with the web believed to help filter dreams, allowing good dreams through while catching or holding back bad dreams. Over time, dreamcatchers have also become widely recognized as a symbol of protection and connection.

As we created our own, we reflected on the importance of learning about Indigenous cultures, listening to Indigenous voices, and continuing the journey toward truth, understanding, and reconciliation.

Every act of learning and remembering is a step toward reconciliation.
