Introducing Our Hospice Navigator Program - At Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice, we believe in exceptional compassionate end-of-life care and supports for individuals living with a terminal illness. In the past, many people only connected with us after a referral had been made or when hospice admission was being considered. Unless they had personal experience with our hospice, they often came to us later in the journey.

Our new Hospice Navigator Program changes that by supporting individuals and families earlier with clear information, compassionate guidance, and meaningful connections to care when they need it most.

Our staff are always looking for ways to learn and grow, and our annual Professional Development Day was a great opportunity to do just that. We were grateful to welcome Teen Paul from Camino, who led Equity Training 101, and Lynn Leach from Steadman Hospice, who presented on Horticultural Therapy. They were such engaging and informative speakers and teachers!

Held on May 5, the day also marked the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People, and staff were encouraged to wear red in respect, reflection and recognition.

Days like this are a meaningful reflection of our organization’s ongoing commitment to learning and growth. Finally, thank you to our friends at Bingemans Conference Centre for being great hosts! 😊

Our 17th annual Hike for Hospice took place last weekend, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Filled with smiles, kindness, and community spirit, the event was a meaningful success thanks to everyone who came out to walk, support, and celebrate!

We have so many heartfelt gratitude to share! Firstly, thank you to all the participants, hikers and fundraisers. This event would not be what it is without your participation and community spirit!

Thank you to the staff and volunteers that helped organized, set up, barbeque and clean up. You all made sure the event ran smoothly!
