What an unforgettable evening of connection, community and laughter, at An Evening with Spirit!

Over the years, Mark Hamilton of the Olive Readers has helped raise more than $86,000 for Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice. Mark generously donates his time and skill, while the Cambridge Hotel kindly donates the event space, which makes this highly sought-after evening possible year after year.

This year, Mark shared more than 100 messages, and the positive feedback from guests was incredible. Some joined us for the first time, while others have attended every year, but everyone shared an evening filled with meaningful moments.

We are also deeply grateful to everyone who donated items to the silent auction. Every item was generously contributed, helping make the evening even more special. Thank you to all who donated, attended, and supported this memorable event.

We are incredibly grateful to the members of Hespeler Legion Branch 272 for their generous donation this past weekend.

The Legion has been a longstanding supporter of the care and comfort provided at our hospices, and we are honoured by their continued commitment to our mission.

As one of the largest Legion branches in Canada, Branch 272 and its affiliated groups have now donated more than $50,000 to support hospice care in our community. Thank you for helping us make every moment matter. 🩵

On September 26, friends and family came together for the annual She-Shed community fundraiser, a fun-filled event with a meaningful purpose. 💜

For the past four years, Amy has encouraged guests to pay it forward by making a monetary donation or purchasing items from our needs list to support members of our community.

We are incredibly grateful to Amy and everyone who attended, donated, and helped make this event so special. Your generosity helps us continue providing comfort, care, and support when it matters most.

On National Coffee Day, it seems fitting to highlight one of our growing bereavement programs: Coffee Time. ☕

At Coffee Time, every cup is an opportunity for connection, conversation, and community. What began as a space for people who share a loss has grown into a group that many describe as family. Filled with laughter, support, friendship, and understanding, Coffee Time is a welcoming place where meaningful connections are made each and every week. ❤️

We're also grateful to Gold Roast Coffee Services in Waterloo and Tim Hortons (1460 King St. E., Cambridge) for providing fresh coffee to our houses every day. Their generosity helps create moments of comfort, connection, and community for so many people, and that means more than words can express.

🎼Through one of our bereavement programs, Hearts in Harmony Choir, we offer a gentle, welcoming space where people experiencing grief can come together through music. We welcome anyone who has experienced a loss at Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice to participate alongside others who have experienced a similar loss.

Participants have described our group as kind and supportive, and Meghan as reassuring, open-hearted, and welcoming. As one participant reflected, “Sometimes it’s hard to find words, I feel like songs, lyrics can speak when I can’t.”
