September was another great month at Sunbeam for our staff, clients and volunteers. With many cooking/baking sessions, an outdoor Fall Fair, a BBQ at Fairmount Home, a trip to the CNE and live concerts, there was something for everyone.

At Sunbeam Community & Developmental Services, we honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day, on September 30. This day remembers the children who attended residential schools, the survivors, and the lasting impacts on Indigenous communities. Everyone is encouraged to wear orange to show that every child matters.

We listen, learn, and support efforts toward healing, understanding, and true reconciliation. Together, we build a more respectful and equitable future for everyone.

Amanda is one of Sunbeam’s dedicated Urgent Response Services Coordinators, supporting families and children living with autism by helping connect them with the right services and resources.

She values Sunbeam’s genuine commitment to the people we support and the strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and care.

Outside of work, Amanda loves to travel and experience new cultures and adventures around the world.

We are grateful to have Amanda as part of the Sunbeam team! 💛
