Labour Disruption Update:

Good morning Queens Manor Family.
We have woken up this Sunday morning to the news that the CUPE LTC Lead Table has reached a tentative agreement over the weekend.

What does this mean?

If CUPE membership votes to ratify this tentative agreement, our unionized employees will be returning to their roles at Queens Manor early this week.

This is certainly positive news. However, we would like to inform all family members, loved ones, and visitors that, until the tentative agreement is formally ratified, you will continue to see "essential services staffing" in the building. The moment we are able to implement pre-strike staffing we will.

We thank you all for your patience and look forward to a return to Queens Manor normal!

Pride Month is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, diversity, and contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. It is an opportunity to recognize the progress that has been made toward equality while continuing to advocate for a society where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and inclusion, regardless of their gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.

At Queens Manor, we acknowledge that many 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals continue to experience barriers, discrimination, and inequities in their daily lives. We remain committed to fostering a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for our residents, families, staff, volunteers, and community members.

This month and every month, we celebrate authenticity, promote understanding, and stand in support of the rights, recognition, and well-being of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Update: Covid 19 Outbreak 😷

Unfortunately, just as we were about to close the Outbreak tonight, another case of Covid was confirmed today, May 28, on our East unit.

We will continue to allow visiting, only to Designated Care Givers (DCGs).
Again, if you are unsure what this means, please reach out. I have sent more information to families.

As of today, we are looking at closing this Outbreak at midnight on June 7th, as per Public Health guidelines, as long as there are no further cases.

🦠Covid Outbreak Update

As of May 18th, we have an additional case of Covid on our West side.

This means the next possible date to close the Outbreak is now May 28th at midnight, so basically May 29th for visitors.

All else remains the same in terms of precautions and visiting.

Covid OB Update 🦠

Unfortunately, another case was confirmed today on West.
This means we are looking at Monday, May 25, at midnight, to close this OB. If no new cases occur.

We will continue with universal masks 😷, enhanced cleaning practices, especially on West, and DCGs visiting only (any questions about this please contact us)

Happy National PTA Day from all of us at Queens Manor! 🚶🏻🩼🦽

Today, we proudly recognize and celebrate two truly compassionate and dedicated Physiotherapist Assistants, Rebecca Amirault and Kassidy Nickerson, for the incredible care and support they provide to our residents each and every day.

Rebecca and Kassidy play such an important role in enhancing the health, comfort, mobility, and overall well-being of the residents at Queens Manor. Through their kindness, patience, encouragement, and genuine compassion, they help residents maintain independence, regain strength, and feel supported throughout their rehabilitation journeys. Their positive attitudes and caring hearts make a meaningful difference not only to the residents they serve, but also to their families and fellow team members.

Today, and every day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rebecca and Kassidy for the exceptional work they do and the compassion they bring to Queens Manor. Thank you both for the difference you make in the lives of our residents! 💙
