There’s something beautiful about the quiet moments. The ones that seem so small, yet somehow make you feel connected to something so much greater than yourself.

The moments you don’t have to explain, because what you feel tells a story that words never could. ❤️🐴

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, I am incredibly proud to stand as an Indigenous woman and the owner of an Indigenous-owned business. 🧡

Our history is complicated and painful. Residential schools. Indian Hospitals. Children taken from their families. Languages, culture, and identity attacked and humiliated. Families and communities carrying the impacts of decisions they never had a choice in.

And yet, we are still here. We lost a lot along the way.

Today, I want to honor the strength of the Indigenous people who survived things that are difficult to even imagine. The ones who kept going. The ones who carried pieces of our culture, our teachings, our humor, our love, and our ways of knowing forward, even when so much was taken from them.

Their strength is why we are here.

I am proud to be part of a generation that is healing, breaking cycles, reclaiming what was always ours, and creating something different for our children.

Through HMS, I am deeply honored to support Indigenous people as they reconnect with themselves, the land, horses, culture, and one another.

I am walking the best path I know for my children, my community, and for the people who come through our doors.

And we are building a stronger future for the generations coming behind us.

Today, I remember those who endured.
I honor those who survived. 🧡

Thank you SaskToday for capturing part of my beautiful team! 🐴❤️

So proud to see HMS Horse-Based Healing featured by SaskToday alongside the incredible work happening through Roots to Wellness and the University of Regina.

The horses have a powerful way of bringing people together and we’re grateful to keep creating spaces where culture, connection, community and healing can meet. ❤️

Because Facebook does not allow Canadian news links, I can’t share the article directly here.
