Cortisol isn’t one number … it’s a curve.
It should peak 30–45 minutes after you wake, drop through the afternoon, and fall overnight so melatonin can rise.

Most of what people call “high” or “low” cortisol is actually that curve losing its shape: peaking too late, staying flat all day, or spiking at 3am when it should be at its lowest.

Chances are, you probably already know if you’re stressed. You don’t need bloodwork to tell you that.

But a single number doesn’t show you the baseline or the trend, and it doesn’t tell you if your rhythm is intact or inverted. That’s why a single morning blood draw tells you very little.

Which is why we test cortisol across the day ➡️ waking, midday, evening, night : to see the actual pattern, not just one point on the curve.

Salivary cortisol is the standard for this : four timed samples that map the full rhythm, including the cortisol awakening response.

DUTCH (dried urine) does the same and adds cortisol metabolites, which can be useful depending on what we’re looking at.

Wired at night, flat in the morning? Our practionners can order this testing and build a plan around what your curve actually shows 📝

Summer’s in full swing , but here’s what’s quietly spiking your inflammation ⬇️ (hint: its not a sunburn)

1. UV exposure & oxidative stress
UV radiation generates free radicals in skin cells, triggering an inflammatory cascade ,

2. Dehydration raises inflammatory markers
Even 2% fluid loss increases cortisol and circulating pro-inflammatory cytokines. Your body reads dehydration as a physiological stressor , not just a “drink more water” issue.”

3. Blood sugar spikes = inflammatory spikes
BBQs, alcohol, and sugary drinks cause rapid glucose spikes, which drive glycation and oxidative stress

4. Poor sleep reduces melatonin, a potent antioxidant, and disrupts the nightly drop in inflammatory markers your body relies on to reset.”

5. Pollen and mold peak in summer, triggering histamine release and immune activation , layering another inflammatory input on top of heat and UV stress

Calcium isn’t automatically “bad”... but more isn’t always better.
The issue isn’t just what you take… it’s how it works together.

Most people focus on Vitamin D and forget the two nutrients that actually help the process function properly. That’s when imbalances can happen, especially in winter when supplementation increases.

This is why we don’t guess. We measure, personalize, and balance.
Your bones, heart, and brain all rely on the right combination - not just a single bottle from the supplement aisle.

Want the full breakdown on Vitamin D, K2, magnesium, and calcium (and who actually needs what)?

Comment “WINTER” below and I’ll send you the blog link.

Make sure to also save this for later or pass this to someone who may benefit from it.
