We're proud to be partnering with William Osler Health System to expand access to publicly funded Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) for adults with treatment-resistant depression.

rTMS is a safe, non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the brain that are involved in controlling emotions. This helps reduce depression symptoms and improves mood.

With recent provincial funding, more people can now access this effective and evidence-based treatment. Together, we're helping improve access to mental health care for those who need it most.

As both a physician and Clinical Director, Dr. Banwatt has seen firsthand how team-based care can strengthen patient care and support family physicians in their day-to-day practice.

Working alongside allied health professionals, with the support of a dedicated Physician Engagement Team, helps connect patients to the services and resources they need while making it easier to provide coordinated, patient centred care.

Next, we'll introduce the Physician Engagement Specialists and take a closer look at how they support physicians and clinic teams every day.
