We are a campaign dedicated to making donations of umbilical cord and placental blood -- an easy and reliable source of both blood and life saving stem cells -- to be put under "presumed consent" rather than "opt in" within Ontario and hopefully the rest of Canada. This page will contain information about cord and placental blood, statistics, and how you can join or help the campaign within Ontario or Canada. Please feel free to like and share the page and help however you can.

Don't worry folks, the Life Blood Project is still active. We just thought it may be best to put the project on pause during the pandemic to give health care workers the time and space they need to deal with that. Now that things are calming down, we may start getting more active this year.
As always, please contact us if you would like to help spread the word or help is get signatures for the petition!

Been contacting hospitals/maternity units in the area to tell them about the project and see if they're interested in copies of the petition.

If you would like to help, if you know any doctors or nurses, please let them know about the project and encourage them to contact us.

Alright everyone, we could use your help with getting this campaign reaching other hospitals in Ottawa and Ontario. So far we have the Queensway Carleton maternity unit, but we'd also like to get the Civic and General on board with us by the end of January at least.

So, can we please share this as much as possible and tag any friends or family you know who work in hospitals (any at all, but especially birth units)

FOR THOSE WHO WERE TAGGED: please come read our page and get in contact with us. We'd love your help getting into contact with your head of maternity to tell them about the project and get petitions started in their units!
