Physio Optimum: We’re Getting Ready to Open
As you probably have heard, the Province of Ontario is considering how to reopen businesses again. In anticipation of physiotherapy clinics being granted permission to reopen, Physio Optimum is getting preparations underway.
To ensure the safest environment possible for both our patients and staff, we will be instituting the protocols recommended by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Health.
1. Conducting screening over the telephone prior to each patient's appointment and conducting a second screening upon the patient’s arrival at the clinic.
2. Requiring that all patients use hand sanitizer, which will be provided, before they enter the clinic.
3. Requiring that each patient wear a face mask before they enter the clinic (we strongly suggest that patients provide their own face mask).
4. Requiring that each staff member wear a face mask while interacting with a patient. Further, each staff member must wear any additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) recommended by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario as appropriate to their role.
5. Except for patients under the age of 14 who will be allowed to have one caregiver accompany them, patients must come alone to their appointment. Any additional companions who arrive with the patient must wait outside the clinic entrance.
6. Physio Optimum staff will clean and disinfect treatment and reception areas between each patient, including chairs and doorknobs, and all touched surfaces such as therapeutic equipment.
If you have any health or safety concerns or items that you feel we have not covered in this list of safety protocols, please feel free to contact us. We are always interested in your feedback as it can only help us improve.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience and understanding. We will keep you posted as more information is made available.
