Pet Therapy Visits with Dimitri 🐾

There’s nothing quite like the comfort of a furry friend! Residents always look forward to our Pet Therapy visits. We are excited to welcome Dimitri, a three year old Great Pyrenees, the newest member of our Pet Therapy Program!

These special visits provide comfort, companionship, and joy while supporting emotional well-being and encouraging social engagement. Thank you, Dimitri, for making our residents’ days a little brighter! 💙🐾

☀️🌭🍔 BBQ season has officially arrived here at Rosepark! ☀️🌭🍔

We kicked things off with a wonderful afternoon BBQ out on our dining patio, surrounded by sunshine, laughter, and great company. Residents enjoyed all the classic favourites including hot dogs, burgers, creamy potato salad, and delicious pasta salad.

We’re already looking forward to BBQ Fridays every week until the end of summer. A season filled with good food, warm weather, and even better memories together!

Savouring Our Summer Menu Launch!

Residents and guests were treated to a delicious culinary experience as they joined us for our Summer Menu Launch. The event featured a variety of seasonal menu items, with guests enjoying appetizer samples and tasting portions of several upcoming summer entrées.
From fresh flavours to chef-inspired creations, everyone had the opportunity to explore the tastes of the season and discover new favourites. The highlight of the evening was our incredible dessert table, filled with an assortment of sweet treats that provided the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

A huge shout out to our Food Service Manager, Michael, and his talented culinary team for their hard work, and dedication in making this event such a success.

Memory Care Moments ☀️🌿🚶‍♀️

Fresh air, beautiful scenery, and great company made for another wonderful afternoon with our weekly Outdoor Walking Club! Residents enjoyed spending time in our backyard park, taking advantage of the walking track while soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the sights and sounds of spring.

Our Outdoor Walking Club provides a wonderful opportunity to stay active, support mobility, and promote overall well-being in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Along the way, residents shared conversations, admired the blooming flowers, and took time to appreciate the beauty of nature all around them.

Today we hosted our very first Resident Chef Showcase, and what a wonderful afternoon it was! Residents gathered together to learn all about pizzelle, a traditional Italian waffle cookie filled with history and family tradition. Our very own resident Catherine, lovingly made them from scratch with the help of some of her family using her cherished family recipe. The delicious homemade treats were perfectly paired with a lovely afternoon tea, making for a warm and memorable experience shared with friends and community. We can’t wait to continue celebrating the talents and traditions of our amazing residents through future showcases!

What a wonderful weekend it was to get outside and enjoy some fresh air! Some of our second floor residents had a lovely time participating in our Outdoor Walking Club program. The beautiful weather, great conversations, and gentle exercise made for a perfect afternoon outdoors.

This week, May 11th–15th, we had a wonderful time celebrating Staff Appreciation Week and recognizing the incredible dedication, compassion, and hard work of our amazing team.

We kicked off the week with Egg McMuffin Motivation Monday,helping staff start their day with a delicious breakfast and positive energy. Throughout the week, staff also enjoyed candy goodie bags, a delicious potluck lunch prepared by our management team, and we wrapped up the celebrations with a fun and tasty burger bar. We were also thrilled to welcome members of our Head Office team for a special visit during the week. Staff were surprised with a thoughtful gift as a token of appreciation for all of their hard work and commitment

A very special shoutout goes to our wonderful nursing team as they also celebrated Nursing Week. Thank you for the care, kindness, and support you provide each and every day to our residents, families, and fellow team members.

We are truly grateful and proud of every member of our staff and all that they do to make our community such a special place ❤️

🥧 Happy International Pie Day!🥧

Today our residents and guests celebrated with a delicious slice of homemade cinnamon caramel apple pie, prepared by our talented Food Service Manager, Michael. The warm apples, sweet caramel, and perfect touch of cinnamon made for the ultimate comforting dessert. And of course, no slice of apple pie is complete without a scoop of ice cream on the side!

This sweet celebration was a huge hit .We served over 50 slices of pie throughout the afternoon! It was wonderful seeing everyone come together to enjoy such a classic homemade treat filled with comfort and smiles.

The Mother’s Day celebrations continued today with even more special moments shared together. A huge thank you to Rosemary from 123 Roses Facial Spa, who treated some of our ladies to mini makeovers and made everyone feel extra pampered and beautiful.

💕Happy Mother’s Day💕

We were so happy to come together to mark this special occasion with a beautiful Mother’s Day brunch filled with delicious food, warm conversation, and time spent with one another. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, and all the incredible women who have shared so much love, strength, and care throughout their lives.

A very special thank you goes to our Food Service Manager, Michael, who truly outdid himself today. From the delicious brunch selections to the beautiful dessert spread, every detail helped make the day feel extra special. The assortment of desserts was a wonderful finishing touch

To all the mothers and wonderful women in our community, we wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day. Thank you for the love, wisdom, kindness, and strength you continue to share each and every day.
