🎉🥳 June Birthday Bash! 🥳🎉

What’s a birthday celebration without great music, sweet treats, and plenty of smiles? Today, we celebrated our June birthdays in style with lively entertainment by Malcolm Wade, followed by ice cream, cake, and lots of fun!
The room was filled with singing, laughter, and birthday cheer as we gathered to celebrate our amazing residents born in June. Another year older, another year wiser, and definitely another excuse for cake!

A very happy birthday to all of our residents celebrating this month! We wish you a year filled with happiness, good health, and many special moments

💙 Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today we gathered to celebrate the incredible fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have touched our lives with their love, wisdom, and strength within our community

Residents and guests enjoyed a special Father’s Day lunch featuring all the flavors of a classic backyard BBQ, which included juicy burgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, BBQ rib sandwiches, festive pasta salad, and delicious desserts. To make the day even sweeter, each resident resident recieved a bottle of Dad’s Root Beer as a token of appreciation.

Beyond the wonderful meal, today was about sharing stories, reminiscing about cherished family memories, and honoring the lasting impact that fathers have on generations past, present, and future.

Wishing a heartfelt Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who continue to inspire us every day. 💙

Ice Cream & Smiles Memory Care Moments 🍦😊

We enjoyed a sweet afternoon this week during our weekly Ice Cream Social! Everyone had the opportunity to cool off with a delicious treat, share conversations, and enjoy time together with friends.

From favorite flavors to plenty of smiles and laughter, it was an afternoon filled with simple pleasures and happy memories.We look forward to many more Ice Cream & Smiles moments throughout the summer!

☀️ What a fantastic two days at our Day in the Life Open House on June 11th & 12th ☀️

We kicked things off with a refreshing Summer Flavours Smoothie Bar, where guests enjoyed delicious fruit smoothies while getting a taste of the vibrant lifestyle at Rosepark.

The fun continued with wonderful live entertainment from our talented musical friends Andre and Maria, who had everyone singing along and enjoying the lively atmosphere. Guests also had the opportunity to visit with our onsite vendors, Jonick Shopping and Comfor Care, and learn more about the products and services they offer.

One of the highlights of the event was our weekly Friday BBQ Lunch, featuring all the summer favourites, great conversation, and plenty of laughter. We wrapped up the two-day celebration with a delightful Wine & Cheese Social, complete with fun icebreakers, new friendships, and lots of smiles.

From great food and live music to community connections and memorable moments, our Day in the Life event truly showcased what makes Rosepark such a special place to call home.A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved sharing a glimpse into life at Rosepark and can’t wait to welcome you back again soon.

Despite the gloomy, rainy weather, spirits were bright during our lunch outing to Thruway Restaurant in Carleton Place. Residents enjoyed a delicious meal, great conversation, and plenty of laughter while spending quality time together. Sometimes the best way to brighten a rainy day is with good food and even better company.

Pet Therapy Visits with Dimitri 🐾

There’s nothing quite like the comfort of a furry friend! Residents always look forward to our Pet Therapy visits. We are excited to welcome Dimitri, a three year old Great Pyrenees, the newest member of our Pet Therapy Program!

These special visits provide comfort, companionship, and joy while supporting emotional well-being and encouraging social engagement. Thank you, Dimitri, for making our residents’ days a little brighter! 💙🐾

☀️🌭🍔 BBQ season has officially arrived here at Rosepark! ☀️🌭🍔

We kicked things off with a wonderful afternoon BBQ out on our dining patio, surrounded by sunshine, laughter, and great company. Residents enjoyed all the classic favourites including hot dogs, burgers, creamy potato salad, and delicious pasta salad.

We’re already looking forward to BBQ Fridays every week until the end of summer. A season filled with good food, warm weather, and even better memories together!

Savouring Our Summer Menu Launch!

Residents and guests were treated to a delicious culinary experience as they joined us for our Summer Menu Launch. The event featured a variety of seasonal menu items, with guests enjoying appetizer samples and tasting portions of several upcoming summer entrées.
From fresh flavours to chef-inspired creations, everyone had the opportunity to explore the tastes of the season and discover new favourites. The highlight of the evening was our incredible dessert table, filled with an assortment of sweet treats that provided the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

A huge shout out to our Food Service Manager, Michael, and his talented culinary team for their hard work, and dedication in making this event such a success.

Memory Care Moments ☀️🌿🚶‍♀️

Fresh air, beautiful scenery, and great company made for another wonderful afternoon with our weekly Outdoor Walking Club! Residents enjoyed spending time in our backyard park, taking advantage of the walking track while soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the sights and sounds of spring.

Our Outdoor Walking Club provides a wonderful opportunity to stay active, support mobility, and promote overall well-being in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Along the way, residents shared conversations, admired the blooming flowers, and took time to appreciate the beauty of nature all around them.

Today we hosted our very first Resident Chef Showcase, and what a wonderful afternoon it was! Residents gathered together to learn all about pizzelle, a traditional Italian waffle cookie filled with history and family tradition. Our very own resident Catherine, lovingly made them from scratch with the help of some of her family using her cherished family recipe. The delicious homemade treats were perfectly paired with a lovely afternoon tea, making for a warm and memorable experience shared with friends and community. We can’t wait to continue celebrating the talents and traditions of our amazing residents through future showcases!
