I am very happy for this new anniversary and grateful that Allah has allowed us to witness the year 2026, which marks the 35th anniversary of our beloved Somaliland. This is a proud moment for every citizen who values peace, unity, and the bright future of our nation.

Somaliland has shown the world that determination, sacrifice, and cooperation can build a strong and stable country. As citizens, we must continue to protect our nation, strengthen our unity, and work together for development, education, security, and prosperity. The future success of Somaliland depends on the commitment of its people to preserve peace and support progress in every sector.

Our country has overcome many challenges through courage and resilience. Therefore, we should remain hopeful and continue striving for recognition, growth, and a better future for the next generations. May Allah bless Somaliland and guide our nation toward greater success and lasting peace.

A Call for Emergency Support and Rescue Services on Sheikh Mountain Road

I would like to respectfully appeal to the Government of Somaliland to urgently address the increasing number of road accidents occurring along the Sheikh mountain road. This route is vital for transportation, yet it has become a high-risk area due to its steep terrain and frequent incidents.

In light of these challenges, I kindly request that the government provide essential emergency equipment to the Sheikh district, including a recovery crane truck (tow truck with a lift) and a bulldozer. These machines would play a crucial role in responding quickly to accidents, clearing damaged vehicles, and reopening blocked roads.

Furthermore, I strongly urge the establishment of a fully equipped emergency response team based in Sheikh. This team should be trained, well-resourced, and ready to respond immediately to accidents, providing rescue services and saving lives.

Improving emergency preparedness in this area will not only reduce fatalities and injuries but also ensure safer travel for all citizens. I hope the government will take this request into serious consideration and act promptly for the safety and well-being of the public.
