🚨 New Wildfire Rules Are Now in Effect in Newfoundland & Labrador 🚨

With wildfire activity increasing and new legislation introducing significant fines for high-risk activities, now is the time for everyone to do their part to help prevent human-caused fires.

If you’re heading into the woods on an ATV, side-by-side, dirt bike, or other off-road vehicle, be prepared. The new regulations require motorized vehicles travelling on forest land to have proper spark arrestors and fire extinguishers.

Early morning toolbox talks with a view like this.

There’s something special about starting the day by bringing the team together to discuss safety, expectations, and the work ahead while overlooking one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s most beautiful harbours.

At REL, our OH&S Consultants are committed to showing up for our clients, whether it’s facilitating toolbox talks, conducting site visits, identifying hazards, or providing practical guidance to help keep workers safe. We understand that a strong safety culture is built through presence, communication, and consistent support in the field.

Toolbox talks may only take a few minutes, but they play a critical role in ensuring everyone goes home safe at the end of the day. Taking the time to discuss changing conditions, review safe work practices, and address potential hazards helps set the tone for a productive and incident-free shift.
