Meet Melanie. Always smiling. Always happy to help.

She has been living at Carefor Civic Complex for four years, and in that time has made many friends. She's looking to make life a little brighter for them by raising $20,000 for recreation and wellness programs at Carefor Civic Complex and Mackay Centre retirement care homes.

She'll be walking between October 1 and December 24 but she doesn't want to walk alone. She's hoping you will join her.

She's looking for 100 people to raise $100 each.

Look who's back...! It's Melanie. And she's walking again this year, except with a twist.

Last year Melanie walked 325,000 steps to raise $20,000 to bring joy to Carefor's not-for-profit retirement homes through recreation programs and activities.

This year, she wants you to join her! Melanie is looking for 100 people to March with Melanie. 100 people raising $100 each by walking between October 1 and December 24.

Sign up, create a page for yourself or a team, tell your friends and family and walk to help vulnerable seniors in the Ottawa Valley.

This year donations will go to cover the cost of activities and recreation for 2027, PLUS to help pay for basic medical expenses for residents that fall outside of the care Carefor staff provides - such as footcare, dental work, and fall prevention.
