Ozempic face. I’m sure you’ve heard the term and I need to say up front I personally don’t like the label and think it has a negative connotation for a medical treatment that has done great things for many people. Can GLP-1’s have implications on your skin and face? Yes it can, but let’s talk about managing that. I had mentioned that at the Aesthetic Expo I recently attended in Toronto, there was a lot of focus on skin rejuvenation, this issue was discussed as part of that.
GLP-1 Medications & Skin Health —
Medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro have helped many people achieve significant weight loss and improve their overall health. And that is something worth celebrating! ❤️
As weight is lost, particularly when it’s significant or rapid, we can also lose facial fat and volume. This can lead to:
✨ Increased skin laxity and sagging
✨ More noticeable fine lines and wrinkles
✨ Hollowing around the cheeks and under-eyes
✨ Changes in facial contours
✨ Skin that appears less firm or youthful
Here’s what I want you to know: You don’t have to choose between improving your health and feeling confident in your skin.
At Expressions Aesthetics, we support your health and weight-loss journey. Our goal isn’t to change the progress you’ve made — it’s to help you care for your skin along the way.
Depending on your individual needs, treatments such as microneedling, PRF, collagen-stimulating procedures, medical-grade skincare, and carefully placed dermal fillers may help improve skin quality, texture, firmness, or restore lost volume.
The goal isn’t to look different. It’s to look healthy, refreshed, and like yourself.
Weight loss is a journey, and your skin deserves some attention along the way, too. ❤️
We support your health, confidence, and natural beauty at every stage.
