The Abortion Aid Fund is getting low! Can you help replenish it?

We rely on the Abortion Aid Fund to help those accessing abortion care in Saskatchewan cover the costs of travel, accommodations, childcare, and the abortion medication or procedure itself for those without health coverage. Without enough funds, we are unable to help people overcome the financial barriers of accessing abortion care.

We welcome any contributions to the fund, small or large - every dollar makes a difference! If you are able, consider becoming a regular donor by signing up for monthly contributions.🌟

We need drivers‼️📣🚗💨

We are looking for volunteer drivers who can drive people around Saskatchewan (most commonly from Saskatoon to Regina) on short notice. Some of these drives can be done during the evening, but some may need to be done during the day. Usually on weekdays.

Drivers may reside in Regina, Saskatoon, or elsewhere in Saskatchewan. We especially need people who live in Saskatoon (while the Saskatoon Abortion Support Network does so much incredible work, they are unable to accommodate rides that include a support person. We find that many people seeking abortions require a support person with them, which RASN provides. RASN also covers other rides that SASN cannot accommodate).

Reliable vehicle is an asset but not necessary.

We are only looking for drivers right now, not offering full training for peer support. If you have previously been trained by RASN or SASN for peer support that is an asset.

Become a donor to help make abortion care more accessible across Saskatchewan! Donations help maintain our Abortion Aid Fund, which is key for sustaining this work.

While abortion care is free for those who have health insurance (provincial health cards and some private insurance plans), there can be a multitude of other costs faced by those seeking care. This may include travel, accommodations, childcare, and loss of wages. For those without health insurance coverage, financial barriers can include having to pay out-of-pocket for medical testing, prescriptions, and for the procedure itself if medication abortion is not an option.

Thanks to our donors who generously contribute to our Abortion Aid Fund, we can help those seeking access to abortion care overcome these many financial barriers.
