Another Day, Another AIP Compliant Meal, Italian marinated chicken I put on a salad

I did top my salad with some ground sumac berries, so you will need to be in at least reintroduction stage 1 to use that ingredients. Otherwise this recipe fits into the elimination phase of the AIP diet

But of course you don't have to be on AIP to enjoy this recipe

AIP stands for Autoimmune Paleo. AIP involved a strict elimination phase that lasts for 6 weeks. Then you move through the 4 different reintroduction phases.

I have moved from the strict elimination phase & I'm starting to re-introduce the foods I've cut out, this includes egg yolks, fruit, nut & seed based spices. I will be re-adding these foods in future recipes.

I am still avoiding nightshades, nuts, seeds, grains, dairy, legumes, egg whites, refined sugar, artificial sweeteners & processed foods.

Feel free to change any of the ingredients to suit your preferences, this is just what I'm putting in mine.

95% Whipped Soap Base pt 3 Whipped Scrub Formulation. So far we've made a whipped soap & in a few days I'll be sharing a clay facial cleanser formulation from this base.

For this scrub you could use different types of sugar or salt depending on how strong of an exfoliation you're looking for.

If you are only using salt or sugar I would avoid using this on the face as it will be too abrasive. If you want to use it on the face you will need something like jojoba beads.

We added a fragrance oil, you could use essential oils if you prefer, being sure to stay well under the IFRA recommended dermal limits. Any adjustments can be made to the carrier oil portion if required

Carrier oils were also added in. Feel free to use whatever carrier oil you prefer.

A small amount of mica was added as a colorant, but isn't necessary. If you were looking for more natural colorants consider adding different color clay

Today we're making an AIP complaint Caesar Salad Dressing. This is a stage 1 reintroduction recipe

The main ingredient for this dressing is mayonnaise so you will need to have introduced egg yolks successfully to make this.

Today we're doing another lacto-fermentation recipe where we will be fermenting carrots with ginger & turmeric

Of course you could always switch out the flavoring agents for different ones, dill is a really good choice if you don't like ginger & turmeric.

These lacto-fermented carrots are an excellent source of probiotics, the fermentation process helps increase the nutrient bioavailability, reducing systemic inflammation as well as improving overall digestion & being just plain delicious

To really tap into the inflammation modulating properties consider adding in some peppercorns. My husband is allergic so I have omitted them, but consider adding in a 1/2 tbsp or more.

95% Whipped Soap Base Master Batch Part 1

This is a wonderful product you can make that with a little creativity you can transform into a bunch of different products.

The purpose of this base is to replace the melt & pour bases you can purchase. While there is nothing wrong with those, I prefer to have full & total control over the ingredients I put on my body.

The reason it is called a 95% base is because you can use it for 95% of a formulation. The additional 5% could be carrier oils, fragrance or exfoliants.

Keep an eye out for the video tutorial & over the next few days I'll be sharing 3 additional formulations featuring this base. We'll be making a whipped soap, sugar scrub & clay facial cleanser, follow along so you don't miss them!

Let's make some Umami Flavor Bombs

Umami is considered to be the fifth basic taste alongside salty, sweet, sour & bitter. It is our savory flavor

Flavor bombs are a very concentrated ingredient that is ready & waiting to elevate your next dish

This particular ones are made from dried mushrooms, carrots, garlic & seasoning. There are instructions on how to use fresh mushrooms on the recipe card at the end of the video
