Grief doesn't always look like tears.

Sometimes it looks like showing up to work and carrying on like nothing happened.
It can look like smiling through a conversation while your chest feels hollow. Being “the strong one” for everyone else, then getting home and finally letting yourself fall apart when you're alone.
I've sat with people carrying grief quietly the kind of grief that the people around them may never even realize is there.

If you're going through this right now, in whatever form it takes for you, you're not doing it wrong. There isn't one way grief is supposed to look.

What's something about grief you wish more people understood?

I never really planned on writing a book.

It started with the people I’ve met and the stories I’ve heard while supporting people through loss. Some of those moments stayed with me, and over time, I felt like I needed to put what I had learned into words.

That’s how Walking Others Home came about.

It’s about grief, loss, love, and the things we experience when we have to say goodbye to someone we care about.

If you’ve ever been through the loss of someone you love, I’d really like to hear from you.

What is one thing you wish someone had told you about grief?

share it in the comment, I will be reading them
