🌱Isn't it funny how certain smells can instantly make you feel better?

Fresh peppermint.

A steaming mug of herbal tea.

A hint of eucalyptus.

Even if you're feeling a little under the weather, those familiar scents have a way of making you stop, take a deep breath and think...

"Ahhh... that's nice."

Maybe that's one of the reasons I love working with herbs so much.

They're not just plants.

They become part of the little rituals we remember.

The warm cup of tea someone makes for you.

A quiet moment wrapped in your favourite blanket.

Taking a few minutes to slow down instead of trying to push through.

Some of my favourite products in our Respiratory Health Collection grew from those simple moments.

Maybe it's a comforting mug of one of our Artisanal Healing Teas.

As many of you may or may not know, we are not all about human health and wellness here at Nor’East Apothecary - we also have products for our 4-legged friends to support longevity and performance.

To that end, we are proud to announce our sponsorship of Tressia Toole and her superstar border collie Whirlwind (aka Win) as they compete at Nationals this week in Saint John NB!

You probably have talked to Tressia at a market but don’t realize she is a national-level dog agility trainer! Having competed at the highest levels with previous dogs, Tressia is now showing her youngest dog across the maritimes and they are absolutely crushing it! They’ve won regionals in both PEI and NB, as well as advancing through to masters series finals.

We are so proud of Tressia and can’t wait to see this new team perform!

🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 5 star review from Andrea Higgins: One supplement that serves many functions

I was looking for liver support, and the cleanse and clear supplement does more than that. It promotes digestion and kidney function, supports lymphatic drainage (all of which I am in need of) and more.
It is easy to add to drinks without wincing from the taste as it is tasteless. I gave some of my last bottle to my sister because I am confident in it's effectiveness and quality. Cleanse and clear is also good value for the money. I highly recommend.

“Laura... my stomach has just been off lately."

I honestly can't tell you how many conversations have started exactly like that.

Sometimes it's occasional bloating.

Sometimes it's that heavy, uncomfortable feeling after a meal.

Sometimes it’s been years of discomfort.

Sometimes people just shrug and say, "I don't know... something just feels off."

And honestly? Our digestive system has a lot to deal with these days.

Busy schedules.
Eating on the run.
Stress.
Not enough water.
That second piece of cake we definitely didn't need... but enjoyed anyway 😝 (No judgment here!)

One of the things I love most about herbal medicine is that it reminds us to slow down and actually listen to our bodies.

Because here's the thing...

There isn't one "digestive herb."

And there isn't one product that's perfect for everyone either.

That's exactly why I created several different products for digestive wellness.

🍃 "Laura... what's your favourite immune-supporting herb?"

Ooooh... that's a trick question. 😄

It's a little like asking a parent to pick their favourite child 😝

(And no... I'm not falling for it.)

The truth is, I don't have just one.

Because before I even think about herbs, I want to know about you.

How are you sleeping?

How's your stress?

Are you taking time to eat real meals, or are you surviving on coffee and whatever you can grab on the way out the door? (We've all been there!)

Those answers tell me a whole lot more than the question does.

That's one of the things I love about herbal medicine.

It isn't about finding the "best" herb or herbal blend.

It's about finding the best fit.

Sometimes that might be a simple mushroom like Reishi.

Sometimes someone is looking for a powerful herbal blend like ReNU.

Maybe they're already starting every morning with a mug of Rhyze & Shine.

Or maybe Adapt & Thrive is exactly where we'd begin because life has been... well... life lately.

There isn't one right answer.

And honestly?

I think that's the best part.

Every conversation is different.

Every person is different!!

That's why I don't believe in handing everyone the same product and sending them on their way.

I'd much rather spend a few minutes getting to know you and helping you find something that actually fits your lifestyle and your wellness goals.

That's what I love most about this new path.
