Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) / Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)
Be Positive Blood Collection is seeking a compassionate, professional, and reliable Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) or Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our growing team in St. John’s, NL.
As a member of our team, you’ll provide exceptional patient care through both clinic-based and mobile blood collection services. If you’re passionate about delivering a positive healthcare experience and enjoy working independently, we’d love to hear from you.
Position Details
* Position: Full-Time (35 hours/week)
* Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
* Starting Wage: $23.00/hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Responsibilities
* Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established protocols
* Provide excellent patient care in both clinic and mobile settings
* Accurately identify, label, and prepare specimens for transport
* Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation
* Follow infection prevention and quality assurance standards
* Travel to patient locations for scheduled mobile collections
Qualifications
* Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) or Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) certification
* Experience with venipuncture and specimen collection
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation required for mobile collections
