Walk or Wheel with us through the accessible paths throughout Government House gardens during your lunch break on Friday June 5th in celebration of National AccessAbility Week and Employee Wellness Month. đ
June is Employee Wellness Month, a time to recognize the important role employee well-being plays in the success of any workplace.
This week is also National AccessAbility Week, which shines a spotlight on the importance of accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities.
To us, these two initiatives are deeply connected.
Workplace wellness programs can support physical health, mental health, social connection, and a sense of belonging. But if wellness activities are not accessible and inclusive, many employees may be unintentionally left out of the very opportunities designed to support them.
True workplace wellness means creating opportunities where everyone can participate, contribute, and benefit. Whether that means considering physical accessibility, sensory needs, communication preferences, transportation barriers, or other accommodations, accessibility helps ensure that wellness is something all employees can experience.
In recognition of both Employee Wellness Month and National AccessAbility Week, we invite you to join us for Pathways to Inclusion, a wellness-focused walk through the accessible trails and gardens at Government House. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy nature, connect with others, and learn more about programs and services that support inclusive workplaces and communities.
Light refreshments will be provided.
To RSVP for this walk, please email [email protected].

Shout out to our friends Empower, the Disability Resource Centre for the incredible work that they do to increase AccessAbility throughout our province and for allowing me to use this clip đ¤
