We heard that Carter Armstrong was passing through Swift Current on his cross Canada run to raise awareness for mental health. Our branch felt the call to support him on his journey so we put a care package together for him.

He is such a genuine selfless person and it was a pleasure to meet him. He is in Herbert and on his way East. If you want to follow along he shares his journey on his social channels.

Wow, what an amazing message. The 18th Annual Mayors Luncheon was a SOLD OUT success!

Thank you to our guest speaker Nathan Wiebe who was very open and vulnerable and sharing such an inspiring story of resilience.

Thank you to all the staff, members, and volunteers who help make an event like this happen.

Thank you to City of Swift Current for being our sponsor which allows us put on such an inspiring event.

Thank you to Trevor Gates Canadian Mental Health Association Saskatchewan Division for always being supportive and attending these events.

Thank you to Mayor Al Bridal for bringing greetings, and always sharing a thoughtful word with us to kick off a great event.

Thank you to Dixie Kendall for donating this beautiful painting to help raise some funds to go back into our programming.

Finally, thank all of you who bought tickets, shared our posts, and just continue to support the work we do. Your support allows us to continue to work towards ending the stigma around mental health and we are really able to do so by coming together as a community and make a difference.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to spend some time at our local high-school sharing information about mental health. This really fits with the theme of this year's mental health week of coming together!

Take some time to chat with someone, check in on those old friends, or just spend some tech free time with those loved ones.

Hello Everyone! It is mental health week across Canada and I am sharing the toolkit with you so you can implement a few things in your day to day. https://cmha.ca/mental-health-week/

Our ask today is give someone a call. We are losing that human connection so pick up that phone and give someone a call. You will be shocked at how much better you feel, and you will brighten their day. In today's society of technology we spend a lot of time on social media and texting, but we don't spend time connecting.

Let us know what you're doing for and tag us in your posts @ swiftcurrentcmha

Mental Health Week is taking place May 4 - 10! Learn how connecting with others can enhance mental health and build resilient communities.
