"When I choose to harm my co-parent, I am choosing to hurt my child's self-esteem."

It may surprise you to learn that your child's self esteem requires your child to view you and the other parent in a positive light. If something damages the parent, the child feels the damage too. Criticism, put-downs, and name calling directed at the other parent are experienced by the child as a direct hit.

This was a key takeaway from the first session of our Co-operative parenting program. We focus on providing practical tools to help caregivers navigate these challenges for the well-being of their children.
