When it comes to filler, precision, anatomy and the ability to see beneath the skin matter.

This patient came to us after experiencing persistent malar edema following tear trough filler placed by another injector. Using ultrasound, we were able to visualize the existing filler, which is typically seen as a well-defined hypoechoic or anechoic area with posterior acoustic enhancement. This allows us to precisely target it for dissolving, and confirm the change afterward.

Ultrasound guidance allows us to:
• Identify the location and depth of existing filler
• Target dissolving more precisely
• Visualize important vascular structures
• Guide new filler placement when appropriate

Our plan is to allow the area to settle completely before reassessing. If further treatment is desired, we will consider NaturaGel, which may be better suited to this delicate region and this patient’s history.

This advanced skill set is one of the things that sets Infinite Beauty MD apart. We use ultrasound not only when managing filler complications, but also to guide filler placement—adding another layer of precision and anatomical understanding to the way we inject.

These photos were taken 4 months after Dr. Cappello completed her second XERF treatment, demonstrating that the improvements continue well beyond the treatment period.

Sunscreen isn’t just for the beach. It’s the foundation of healthy skin. ☀️

If there’s one skincare product that has consistently stood the test of time in medical research, it’s sunscreen.

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is: “My foundation has SPF, so I’m covered.” Unfortunately, that’s not enough. Most people don’t apply nearly enough makeup to achieve the SPF listed on the label, and coverage is often uneven. Makeup with SPF is a nice bonus—but it shouldn’t replace a dedicated sunscreen.
