Glendale Funeral Home & Cemetery

Our office hours are noted above; cemetery is always open. Since 1952, families of Etobicoke and its surrounding communities have come to know Glendale Memorial Gardens for its beautiful park like setting and solid reputation for caring and professional guidance. Our 62 acres are dotted with mature trees, benches, colourful flower gardens and sparkling ponds. Together with the modern Mausoleum, Glendale has created a warm and relaxing atmosphere for friends and families to gather and reminisce year round. The added convenience of our on-site Cremation Centre has been specially designed to meet the evolving needs of today's families.

We honour the parents, families, and loved ones who carry their memories and their little love every day. Pregnancy and infant loss is a loss that deserves to be acknowledged, remembered, and never forgotten. 🩷🩵

Some of life's most meaningful lessons come from the people who know us best.

A parent, grandparent, mentor, or friend may have shared words that guided you through challenges, shaped your values, or changed the way you see the world.

What is one piece of advice from a loved one that has stayed with you over the years?

Share it in the comments and help inspire others with the wisdom that continues to live on through generations. ❤️

This month, we remember those we’ve lost to breast cancer, stand beside those still fighting, and celebrate the survivors whose strength inspires us.

💕 Know your body. Get screened. Encourage the women you love to do the same.

Because behind every life we serve is a story, a family, and a lifetime of memories worth protecting.

From our funeral home family to yours: early detection matters. 🎀

As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, we're reminded that gratitude often lives in the moments we share, the memories we cherish, and the people who make a lasting difference in our lives.

Whether you're celebrating surrounded by loved ones or reflecting on those who remain close to our hearts, may this season bring comfort, connection, and moments of meaningful reflection.

From all of us at Arbor Memorial, we wish you a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, gratitude, and togetherness.

🧡 Happy Thanksgiving.

Mental health is an important part of our overall well-being, yet it's often the conversations we avoid the most.

On World Mental Health Day, we encourage everyone to check in with themselves and with those around them. A simple conversation, or a small act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

For those navigating grief, loss, or life's challenges, remember that you don't have to carry it alone. Seeking support is a sign of strength, and healing happens one step, one day, and one conversation at a time.

Take a moment to reach out, connect, and care for yourself and others.

The journey through grief is never easy, but with time, support, and compassion, moments of light begin to return.

The love we shared doesn't disappear. It becomes part of who we are, helping us find strength, meaning, and joy once again.

Today, on National Seniors Day, we celebrate the older adults who enrich our lives with their wisdom, kindness, and experience.

Their stories, traditions, and life lessons help shape our families and strengthen our communities.

Take a moment to recognize the seniors who have inspired, guided, and supported you over the years. Their legacy lives on through the lives they touch every day.

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the families and communities who continue to carry the impact of this history.

This day is an opportunity to listen, learn, reflect, and support the ongoing journey toward truth, healing, and reconciliation. Together, we can help foster understanding, respect, and meaningful change.

Some conversations are easy to put off, but discussing important life decisions with your spouse can make a difficult time easier to navigate.

Topics like creating a will, sharing final wishes, organizing important information, and understanding household finances can help ensure your family is prepared when it matters most.

Taking the time to talk today can reduce stress, prevent uncertainty, and provide peace of mind for the future.

Sometimes, the most meaningful goodbyes are shared in a quiet and intimate setting.

A graveside service offers family and close friends the opportunity to gather, reflect, and honour a loved one's life in a peaceful and personal way. Whether guided by a faith leader, family member, or friend, these services can be thoughtfully customized to create a heartfelt farewell.

At Arbor, we also provide support with the planning details, helping families focus on what matters most: remembering and celebrating a life well lived.
