Reflecting on gatherings The Heritage team attended in the last couple of weeks:
“Gather Around The Vine” at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church event space hosted by Steve Kriaris of Kolonaki Fine Wines .

It was an evening of exceptional Greek wines, lively conversation, and traditional mezedakia celebrating the flavours of Greece.

A chance to reconnect with friends from this parish and the parish’s Father Sarris. Then meeting new friends, together, learning about Hellenic wine from the keynote speaker Steve who provided the wine from many regions of Greece. It was a well curated selection. And the favourites were almost unanimous.

Another fantastic Golf Tournament Fundraiser for the Hellenic Home for the Aged.

Heritage Funeral Home is proud to be a cart sponsor again this year for such a worthy cause. Creating an engaging safe space for our seniors.

Our team was present to accept the cart sponsor award on behalf of Glen Day.

The heritage team also met new and old friends cheering on all golfers and sponsors at the hole in one the snack tent with Cheese and kouloures (round sesame bread).

Heritage Funeral Centre is proud to be supporter Of The Hellenic Home for the aged. It is truly a wonderful establishment which offers the space needed and supports our seniors with such compassion,care and dignity.

Please meet “Theodora Koutsoumbou “!!!

Theodora Koutsoumbou has been a dedicated Funeral Consultant serving the Greek Orthodox community in the Greater Toronto Area since 2001. Recognized as one of the first Orthodox Funeral Consultants in the region, she has spent more than two decades guiding families with compassion, dignity, and a deep understanding of Greek Orthodox funeral traditions.

Her commitment to service extends well beyond her professional role at Heritage Funeral Centre.

A lifelong volunteer and active member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Theodora has served in numerous leadership and community positions, including President of St. Demetrios Pronia, Special Events Board Member of the Hellenic Home for the Aged, and Board Member of Hellenic Hope. She is widely respected for her unwavering dedication to faith, family, and community service.

Known for her kindness, professionalism, and tireless volunteer work, Theodora continues to support Greek Orthodox families and organizations throughout the GTA, helping preserve traditions while strengthening community bonds.
