From assistant coach to leading the bench at Junior Nationals 🔥🏀

Meet Josh Davies from the Ottawa Royals — an assistant coach with the Ontario Junior Program since 2019, and this year’s acting Head Coach at Junior Nationals.

Josh is excited to see the team put into action everything they’ve been working on all season, with hopes of bringing home a podium finish 🏅 But for him, it’s also about passing on his love for the sport and watching athletes learn, grow, and gain confidence along the way.

His advice for anyone thinking about trying wheelchair basketball?“Jump in and give it a try — it’s a welcoming community.” ❤️

Outside the gym, Josh enjoys cottage life, being by the water, and quiet time with family. His favourite colour is red, his go-to meal is a steak dinner with mashed potatoes 🥩, and he’s also the proud dad of two rabbits 🐇🐇

Fun fact: his very first wheelchair was pink 💗

Pink lover, reality TV watcher, elephant fan, and baller all in one 💗🐘🏀

Meet Charlotte McElroy from the Burlington Vipers! Charlotte has been playing wheelchair basketball for 4 years and can’t wait for the upcoming Junior Nationals 🔥

When she’s not on the court, you’ll probably find her watching Dancing with the Stars, eating shepherd’s pie, or hanging with her friends.

Her advice for anyone thinking about trying wheelchair basketball?“Go into it with an open mind.” ✨
