Welcome to another edition of Sitka’s Wellness Tips!

This week, Lis shares a simple nervous system regulation practice sometimes used in CST circles 🌙

The “still point” position involves gently holding the arms and legs in inward rotation for 10–20 minutes while resting, sitting, or standing. Some people find it calming during periods of stress or when waking during the night. 💤

Applying gentle, steady pressure on this pressure point every few hours can stimulate the rest-and-digest nervous system and keep us away from constant stress and overstimulation. 💆‍♀️

Here’s Part 1 of our team’s Wellness Tips!

Today, we visit three of Helen’s favorite exercises to counteract pesky office postures that tend to make our head and shoulders drift forward.

Rounded shoulders and forward head posture can cause muscle imbalances, limit mobility and breathing, and even cause pain in the long-run.

Whether you’re an office worker or not, we can guarantee at least one of these exercises will greatly benefit your posture. Give them a try and let us know it goes. 💚
