A little overdue update from August!
I officially completed the two-week, hands-on practical portion of my Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice training!
After months of learning online, it was SO nice to finally get into a classroom, put everything into practice, ask a million questions and learn alongside such a great group of people.
Over the two weeks we worked through soft tissue techniques, cranial and visceral approaches, joint mobilization and muscle energy techniques — but one of my biggest takeaways was learning to step back and look at the body a little more broadly instead of focusing only on the area that’s bothering someone.
I’m still working through the academic and clinical requirements toward completing my DOMP diploma, so the learning definitely isn’t finished yet!
For now, I’m back at Inklein doing what I love as an RMT — just with a few more tools, a lot more questions, and an even bigger appreciation for how much there is to learn.
Next up: back to the books 📚
