Ever notice a “knot” in your muscles that just won’t go away? 👀

Those are often trigger points — tight, irritated spots within a muscle that can cause pain, tension, stiffness, and even discomfort in other areas of the body ⚡

Trigger points can develop from:
💻 Poor posture
🏋️ Overuse or repetitive movement
😴 Stress and tension
🚗 Injury or compensation patterns

Hi, I’m Maryrose. I’m one of the new practicum students here at Ignite Massage Therapy!

I’m currently in my second year of studies at Wellington College, where I am focusing on orthopedic assessment and treatment techniques.

I’ve had firsthand experience into how massage therapy can be a game changer when dealing with pain, which is what drove my compassion to become a massage therapist, so I can help others find relief.

My goal is to work alongside other professionals in the massage therapy field, crafting tailored treatment sessions that fit each client’s unique needs. As I grow and learn in this field, I’m excited to see where this passion will take me.

Hi, my name is Randy and I’m one of the new practicum students here at Ignite Massage Therapy!

We’re so excited to welcome two new therapists to our clinic team! ✨

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Samantha Mader and Eric Barkman, who have joined our team as Manual Therapists in Training. We’re thrilled to have them bringing their passion, care, and dedication to our community.

They are remedial massage therapists but they don’t provide full body massage. Their focus is on corrective work so they do massage thechniques but also integrate additional techniques if needed in their treatments such as joint mobilizations that address joint misalignments, cranial work to address imbalances in the cradium and jaw, visceral manipulation that address issues with digestion or the reproductive system along with the soft tissue techniques that massage therapists are trained in. Additionally, they specialize with chronic pain and can start a treatment plan for those with chronic pain.

Hi, I’m Carmen. I'm one of the new practicum students here at Ignite Massage Therapy!

I initially got into massage therapy because I love helping people and have found massage to be incredibly beneficial for myself and wanted to provide that same experience for others.

My future goals after graduating is to take the Master's Manipulative Program at Wellington College.
