Heart and Hue - Arcane Horizon Art Gala 2026
Artist Profile: Pink Panda The Art of Pink Panda

Pink Panda (they/she) is a multidisciplinary urban contemporary artist based in Winnipeg, Canada, living and working on Treaty 1 Territory. Working across chalk, spray paint, acrylics, and UV-reactive paint, their practice evolved from childhood-inspired monster characters into explorations of identity, mindfulness, and connection through vivid colour and intricate line work.

During warmer months, Pink Panda brings their practice into public spaces, longboarding through the city to create temporary chalk drawings and live pop-up painting installations. These ephemeral works embody their mantra, “Be in the moment,” while connecting art, self, and community.

Pink Panda’s work has been presented in three solo exhibitions and numerous group shows, with collectors across North America drawn to the vibrancy, detail, and layered narratives of their work.

We’re so excited to have Pink Panda joining us for this year’s gala. Swipe through to see a selection of their past work.

Heart and Hue - Arcane Horizon Art Gala 2026
Artist Profile: Rachelle Diddens

Winnipeg-born Rachelle Diddens says art was always a part of her life. Her father was a carpenter and artist, and she learned early the skills of fixing up items and refinishing furniture with him. It was with reclaimed zinc that Rachelle began developing the unique kind of canvas that anchors most of her current work. The edges are folded back to form an elegant, ready-to-hang frame that is integral with the surface. Then she paints with acrylic – and with the oil-based liquid, directly onto the porous metal surface. She spent two years developing her original painting technique.

Rachelle’s painting is abstract, often with patterns or networks that spread across the surface like fractals. There are repeated, recognizable elements that diagram myriad units which are all different but, in the wider scheme, largely the same – in connection with each other, but also broken and separated. These, she says, can be read as an allegory for the interrelationships of people within our system.

“I love music, exercise, and art. I always work with music playing. I am empathetic and care deeply about how people connect and live together. We survive by spreading kindness.”

We’re so excited to have Rachelle joining us for this year’s gala. Swipe through to see a selection of her past work.
